SWIMMING POOL LEAK DETECTION
1) How do I know if my pool is leaking? The answer to this question varies by pool size, type and whether conditions. Generally, however, a pool should not lose more than 1 1/2 " inch per week. If you are losing more than this amount, it is very likely that your pool is leaking water.
2) Is there a test I can perform on my own to determine whether my pool is leaking? Yes. You can perform a "bucket test." This test will help you determine whether your water loss is caused by natural evaporation or by a pool leak. To perform this test: (1) place an empty bucket on a pool step; (2) fill it with water (water inside bucket must be at same level as outside bucket); (3) monitor the water level for a 2-3 day period; (4) If the water level inside the bucket is higher than the level of water outside the bucket, your pool may be leaking water. 3) What is the CLD Leak Detection Credit towards Repair Program? It's quite simple. After we perform your leak detection, we will give you an estimate to perform the ensuing repair work. If the price of repair is between $500-$1,000, half of the leak detection price will be credited towards the price of the repair. If, however, the estimated price of repair exceeds $1,000, in most cases, the full leak detection price will be applied towards the ensuing repairs. However, because each pool is unique, the CLD Leak Detection Credit may vary by job. For more information, or for a free estimate, call (877) 224-LEAK or (818) 624-9999.
